Type 11 Chipbreaker Screwdriver
The Type 11 Chipbreaker Screwdriver is a screwdriver used to quickly and accurately loosen and tighten the chipbreaker screws on your hand planes. This has the advantage to not only ease and accelerate the removal of the screw, but using the right tool also prevents damage to the head of the screw over time.

The tool is available in black walnut, cherry, or white oak which is contrasted by a thick brass collet that helps guides you onto the screw.
This screwdriver is over built. Ébénisterie Éloïse believes all good tools should easily be passed down one or more generation, and this screwdriver is no exception. The blade is made of durable 01 tool steel which is then peened in place into a thick brass collet by a brass cross pin. This method of assembly is not used by other manufacturers as it requires skill and time to produce.
The Type 11 Chip Breaker Screwdriver is designed to fit most if not all (vintage and modern) Stanley Hand planes. It also functions with Veritas and Lie-Nielsen planes. It should fit most other brands, you can use a caliper to measure your chipbreaker screw if you are unsure. The dimensions of the Type 11 Screwdriver are as follows:
0.065” width blade
Can accommodate up to a 5/8” diameter screw.
